Essential state, not ad tracking
This policy explains the essential cookies and browser storage used by the current GentlyAI launch service and extension.
1. Current launch position
GentlyAI currently uses essential session and security state needed for authentication, workspace selection, purchase or registration intent, and core application operation. WorkOS participates in authentication and session handling.
No non-essential marketing pixel or behavioural advertising cookie is active in the reviewed launch application. No PostHog or Sentry browser SDK was found in the current package. GentlyAI therefore does not present a consent banner solely for a future analytics or marketing tool that is not active.
2. Local browser storage
The web application may use local or session storage for interface state, onboarding progress, drafts and safe navigation state. This state supports the requested product experience and is not used for cross-site advertising.
The Chrome extension uses Chrome storage and session state for its connection, authorised workspace, workflow and interface. Removing the extension or clearing its storage may require reconnection.
3. Managing essential state
Browser settings can remove cookies and local storage, but doing so may sign a user out, clear local preferences or interrupt an extension connection. Essential state cannot always be disabled while still using the affected feature.
4. Future analytics or marketing activation
Before GentlyAI activates non-essential analytics, advertising pixels or similar tracking, it will update this policy and implement consent or choice controls where applicable. M19 monitoring work does not itself authorise non-essential browser tracking.
