How GentlyAI uses cookies and similar technologies

This Cookie Policy explains how GentlyAI may use cookies, local storage, browser extension storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies across our website, platform, workspace, and browser extension.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on a device when a user visits a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, SDKs, browser extension storage, and device identifiers. These technologies help websites and applications operate, remember preferences, maintain sessions, improve security, measure usage, and support product functionality.

2. How GentlyAI may use cookies

Essential cookies

Used for login, authentication, session management, security, fraud prevention, workspace access, and core platform operation.

Preference cookies

Used to remember settings such as workspace state, selected domain, interface preferences, and user choices.

Analytics cookies

Used to understand product usage, page performance, onboarding flow behavior, error patterns, and feature adoption.

Marketing cookies

May be used in the future to understand campaign performance, attribution, lead conversion, and customer acquisition activity.

Extension storage

Used by the browser extension to maintain connection state, workspace settings, authenticated session state, and governance workflow functionality.

Security technologies

Used to detect misuse, unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, abuse, bot activity, or technical failures.

3. Browser extension storage

The GentlyAI browser extension may use browser storage or similar technologies to remember workspace connection state, user session state, supported AI platform configuration, extension preferences, and governance workflow status.

Extension storage is intended to support visible user-facing governance functionality. GentlyAI does not use browser extension storage to collect unrelated browsing behavior or unrelated website activity outside supported AI governance workflows.

4. Third-party technologies

GentlyAI may use third-party tools that set or rely on cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, or similar technologies. These providers may include infrastructure, analytics, payment, CRM, support, security, browser extension, and AI workflow providers.

5. Consent and regional requirements

Some jurisdictions require consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. Where required, GentlyAI may provide cookie banners, consent controls, preference settings, or opt-out mechanisms.

Essential cookies and security technologies may be required for the platform to function and may not be disabled through GentlyAI controls where they are necessary to provide the service, maintain security, or authenticate users.

6. Managing cookies

Users can usually manage cookies through browser settings. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect login, workspace access, extension functionality, analytics accuracy, preferences, and platform performance.

Browser extension storage can generally be managed through browser extension settings, browser storage controls, or extension removal. Removing extension storage may require reconnecting the extension to the GentlyAI workspace.

7. Do Not Track and global privacy controls

Some browsers offer Do Not Track or global privacy control signals. GentlyAI may not respond to all such signals unless required by applicable law or supported by the production consent management system. Where required, GentlyAI will support legally recognized opt-out mechanisms.

8. Changes to this Cookie Policy

GentlyAI may update this Cookie Policy as the product, infrastructure, analytics tools, browser extension, consent mechanisms, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected on this page.
